OMD Abnormal Cervical Screening Package – TELUS PSS

OntarioMD (OMD), in partnership with the Central East Regional Cancer Program and the Medical Associates of Port Perry, has developed a package for TELUS PSS to support clinicians in identifying and managing patients with abnormal cervical screening results. Consistent monitoring is essential to prevent the progression of precancerous lesions to cervical cancer. Early detection through timely follow up allows for appropriate intervention, significantly improving outcomes. Because persistent high-risk HPV infections—the leading cause of cervical cancer—require close surveillance, ongoing monitoring promotes individualized, risk-based care, enhances patient safety and continuity, and reduces missed or delayed diagnoses.

Steps to Use OMD Abnormal Cervical Screening:

  1. Download and extract the zipped file to a location accessible to your TELUS PSS EMR.
  2. Import the 6 custom forms to appropriate locations in your TELUS PSS EMR.
  3. Import the reminder which triggers the display of the abnormal cervical screening toolbar.
  4. Import the search which enables you to view all patients with a follow-up form.
